For the full eMT series, MT8000i series, TK series, WT series and other HMIs, there is a set of reset buttons and DIP switches, which can trigger the corresponding functions when switching between different modes.
If the HMI is touched offset or the HMI's system settings password is lost, the HMI can be calibrated by adjusting the DIP switch, or restored to factory settings.
The specific steps are as follows:
1. Switch dial switch 1 to ON, and keep the rest of the dial switches OFF, and then restart the HMI to enter the touch correction mode.
2. The "+" cursor appears in the Veriton touch screen. Use the stylus or finger to tap the center point of the "+" cursor (hold for about 2 seconds to release) to make a five-point correction, i.e., top left, top right, bottom right, bottom left, and center position. After all the "+" have been touched accurately, the "plus" cursor disappears. Calibration parameters remain in the system.
3. After completing the correction operation, the system will ask the user whether to restore the system settings password of the Verun Tong touch screen to factory settings.
4. If you want to initialize the system, please press "YES" and the system will confirm again whether the user has restored the password of the Verun Tong touch screen system setting to the out setting. When you type [YES] and press [OK], all engineering files and historical data in the HMI will be erased.
5. After the initialization is completed, the [LocalPassword] system setting password will be restored to the default password 111111. However, other passwords, including those used for downloading and uploading, will need to be re-entered after selecting Factory Reset in order for items to be uploaded and downloaded correctly.
6. Turn on and press and hold the screen to enter the touch calibration mode.
When launching, press anywhere on the screen. If the Weilun Tong touch screen is turned on, a finger diagram or "long press to calibrate the touch screen" will be displayed in the lower right corner of the screen, which supports this function.
