Honeywell's basic on-board pressure sensors, the TBP Series and NBP Series, are specifically designed for both food and non-food grade potential medical and industrial applications. These low-power piezoresistive silicon pressure sensors provide a percentage output and can be either temperature-compensated (TBP series) or temperature-uncompensated (NBP series).
TBP series
Temperature-compensated and non-amplified.
Temperature compensation makes it easier to integrate the sensor into the system, eliminating the need to calibrate the system regularly under different temperature conditions; At the same time, the variability between parts is reduced.
It provides extremely high resolution for pressure signals.
The compensation temperature range is 0°C to 85°C [-32°F to 185°F].
NBP series
Uncompensated vs. non-amplified.
This is ideal for those who want to compensate, calibrate, and amplify themselves in order to utilize the maximum resolution of the bare sensor output and any algorithm required for the application.
It provides extremely high resolution for pressure signals.
These products are available in a variety of packaging styles and mounting options, making it easier for equipment manufacturers to integrate their products into their applications. When silicone gel-coated types are selected, they are suitable for non-corrosive, non-ionic gases such as air and other dry gases, as well as non-corrosive, non-ionic liquids.
