The UR20 is the first product in Universal Robots' next-generation industrial cobots, designed to take performance to new heights while combining the versatility, ease of use, and compact size of Universal Robots.
The UR20 has been reimagined, redesigned, and completely rebuilt. Every detail, from software to articulated end caps, is strategically designed to deliver next-generation performance and quality, so you can increase throughput and uptime to bring more products to market faster than ever before.
Built for higher loads, faster speeds, and superior motion control, the UR20 combines all features in a small, lightweight system for optimal versatility within existing production spaces. There is no need for special electrical connections or expensive cabling solutions. Despite the significant performance gains, only a single phase standard power socket is required to power the UR20.

Packing and palletizing
In situations where heavy parts need to be picked, packed, and palletized, the UR20 helps customers increase efficiency and productivity. The UR20 has a working range that can handle standard Euro pallets with stacking heights of up to 2 meters.
Machine care
The UR20 can be used for flexible machining of a variety of large-sized parts, such as cutting, punching, drilling, machining, and forming. It can be installed in any position and can be moved flexibly around workplace equipment such as machine guard doors.

The UR20's software has been completely redesigned to bring unprecedented motion control to the joint structure, increasing speed by 65% and torque by 25% in tight spaces.
Parts handling and assembly
Larger payloads allow heavier workpieces to be handled, and two or more end-effectors are available for shorter cycle times. The manufacturing and assembly of large equipment such as diesel engines, drivetrains, transmissions, and battery assemblies often requires human-robot collaboration.
