On January 14, FAW-Volkswagen 2020 Supplier Partner Conference was held in Changchun. As a core supplier of FAW-Volkswagen, Shanghai Fanuc Robot Co., Ltd. won the Outstanding Partner of the Year Award issued by FAW-Volkswagen for its outstanding performance in the technical transformation project of FAW-Volkswagen Plant 2.
From August 10, 2019 to October 6, 2019, FAW-Volkswagen Automotive Co., Ltd. Plant 2 carried out the largest technical transformation work in its history. The whole transformation involves many interfaces, great difficulty, tight construction period, high safety and quality requirements, all of which are the highest among FAW-Volkswagen Plant 2.
As the general contractor, Shanghai Fanuc undertook the transformation task of the topcoat line in the painting workshop, coordinated nearly 10 subcontractors and more than 300 construction personnel, successfully completed the transformation and commissioning of 102 robot systems in 13 stations, and completed the demolition of 22 old robots, the installation of 42 new robots, and all matching transformation projects such as paint conveying, spray booth, steel structure, mechanization, and fire protection.
In the face of difficult challenges, tight deadlines and high requirements, the project team of Shanghai Fanuc fully demonstrated the iron army style of being able to fight tough battles and win battles for customers. It also fully demonstrates the professionalism, dedication and dedication of Fanuc people. It has won high recognition and praise from customers.
Finally, with the joint efforts of Shanghai Fanuc and FAW-Volkswagen customers, the project completed the tasks of each stage ahead of schedule under the premise of safety, quality and quantity.
After the transformation, there are a total of 102 robots in the middle paint line, which realizes the automatic and intelligent upgrade of the whole robot from the sword brush to the internal and external surface of the inner and outer surface of the → of the color paint and the inner and outer surface of the varnish → the inner and outer surface of the varnish from the sword brush to the clean →. After optimization by cycle time improvement, the process cycle time can reach 75JPH. The project adopts FANUC P-700iA and P-250iB/15 robots for spraying robots, and the spraying process equipment adopts FANUC Versabell III. electrostatic rotating cup system, and the whole line is equipped with FANUC ZDT cloud remote service system.
By the end of October, the production capacity of FAW-Volkswagen Plant 2 had climbed to more than 1,000 units per day, and the overall equipment operation and process quality were stable, which effectively guaranteed the smooth resumption of production of FAW-Volkswagen Plant 2.
