Generally, the power factor of the input terminal of the model without PFC line is only 0.4-0.6, while the active PFC line can reach more than 0.9, and the correlation formula is as follows: apparent power = input voltage x input current (VA) useful power = input voltage x input current x power factor (W)
From the point of view of environmental protection: it is necessary for the power plant of the power company to generate more electricity than the apparent power, and its generator sets can supply the market demand for electric energy stably, and the actual use of electric energy is the useful power. If the power factor is 0.5, it means that the generator set declares that it is greater than 2VA power, so that it can safely supply the demand for 1W of electric energy, and its power operation efficiency is poor. On the contrary, if the power factor is improved to 0.95, the power company only needs to declare more than 1.06VA of power, and the demand for 1W of electric energy will be no problem, and the operation efficiency of the power will be better.
When the product specification indicates the input power supply range of items A and B above, the power supply can work normally regardless of whether AC or DC power is sent. However, it is also necessary to pay attention to the design of some models, the direct power input is connected to AC/L at the positive pole (+), and the negative pole (-) is connected to the AC/N power supply before the machine can be turned on; Some models are connected to AC/N on the positive pole and AC/L on the negative pole before they can be turned on, if the wiring fault is just not turned on, it can be reversed to work normally, and the power supply will not have other problems.
The product specification indicates that the above c items, the 115/230V must be switched to the "230V" direction before entering 250-370VDC, if the transfer switch is in the "115V" direction and 250-370VDC is fed, the power supply will be damaged, and you must be careful.
