This membrane-based reverse osmosis process requires membranes and high-pressure pumps that can operate at pressures up to 120 bar. These pumps are positive displacement pumps with axial plungers that pump a fixed amount of water in each cycle. The flow rate is proportional to the shaft speed (rpm). Unlike centrifugal pumps, APP W HC pumps will only produce the same flow rate at a given speed, regardless of the discharge pressure.

The simple design of these pumps makes installation, inspection and maintenance very easy. In addition, the pump is able to operate without oil and prevent contamination.

The APP W HC pump can handle flow rates ranging from 11 to 24 m³/hr (48-106 gpm) and pressures up to 120 bar (1740 psi). These pumps can be connected in parallel to meet the required throughput requirements at any time.
