Siemens Professional Series 5SY4 Series Miniature Circuit Breaker. These circuit breakers have a Type C feature that provides short-circuit response and protection at 400V supply voltages. The disconnection capacity at short-circuit current is 10kA. The 5SY4 series circuit breakers are available in 1 or 3 pole and can be used in industrial applications. All models are highly reliable and of excellent quality.

The Type B feature provides an instantaneous short-circuit response level of 3-5 times the normal rated current, making it suitable for circuits with moderate inrush currents, such as incandescent lamps, heated loads, and most residential/small building protection applications. The Type C feature provides a short-circuit response of 5-10 times the normal rated current, making it suitable for higher inrush current circuits, such as motor control and fluorescent lamp installations in factories where noise-induced tripping may occur if a faster type is used. The D-type feature is designed for high inrush current loads. Magnetic trip point - 10 to 20 times rated. Thermal trigger point - 1.13 to 1.45 rated protector. The AC type feature ensures disconnection when a sinusoidal, direct current is applied quickly or slowly increased.
