The No. 130 quay crane, located at the westernmost end of the shoreline of Waigaoqiao Wharf, was produced in 2003 by Zhenhua Heavy Industries, a leading company in the port machinery industry, with a lifting height of 22 meters, a machine room height of 27 meters and a load of 40 tons. The original imported brand inverter was used as the electric drive for large cars, small cars, lifting and pitching.

In 2012, due to the aging of the core electrical drive unit and frequent problems, SIPG decided to renovate the existing part of the quay crane with an electric drive. For a long time, quay crane drive control has been the domain of international frequency converter giants. If a domestic brand inverter is used in the quay crane drive control, the owner must be full of doubts about safety and reliability. In such a category where domestic brands are out of reach, it is a huge challenge for domestic brands to break the monopoly of foreign capital.

The owner had the intention of trying it out, and conducted a careful investigation of Xinshida, and was surprised to find that the technical indicators of Xinshida inverter met the requirements. As a result, the only one of the 27 quay cranes was left with the opportunity to be localized and replaced by Xinshida.

In the past 10 years, the No. 130 crane has handled an average of 18,000 TEUs per month, with a total of more than 2.2 million TEUs and a total loading and unloading weight of more than 65 million tons! What's more valuable is that it has maintained a record of zero-fault operation for 10 years. Today, the new Shida inverter is still silently continuing to write a new record of stable operation of domestic inverter in the field of quay cranes. The embodiment of Xinshida does not have the trust of Shanghai Port Group, and the driver of Shanghai Port Crane laughingly said that it is the "Chinese model worker" among the 27 quay cranes on the 2,100-meter shoreline of the second wharf.
