EATON/Eaton MTL F809F-Plus fieldbus diagnostic module

The Crouse-Hinds series MTL F809F-Plus fieldbus diagnostic module continuously monitors the performance of eight fieldbus segments, providing information about the health of the network's physical layer. It is mounted on a series of MTL power carriers and collects diagnostic information without interrupting normal fieldbus communication.

As a Foundation Fieldbus™ device, the MTL F809F-Plus is easily integrated with the selected host control system via fieldbus segments, allowing the network status and measurement parameters to be displayed in the instrument management software of the control system.

The F809F-Plus builds on the success of the F809F, the industry's first fieldbus-connected diagnostic module. New features in the F809F-Plus version include excellent noise immunity in the Communication section, enhanced short-circuit shielding detection, and an extended supply voltage measurement range to be compatible with new MTL power supply types. It can be a drop-in replacement for the F809F in existing installations; When installed with the appropriate DD files, the full feature set of the F809F-Plus is immediately available.

The F809F-Plus offers a fully updated version of the eEDDL and FDT/DTM user interface, which can be downloaded free of charge from the eaton.com website. Improvements include faster operation and a clearer screen layout, which enhances the user experience. The user interface complies with NAMUR specification NE107 'Self-Monitoring and

Field device diagnostics, which provide clear, standardized diagnostic alerts using three of the four categories; Requires maintenance, out-of-spec, and malfunctions.
