The electrical signals are two sets of current signals A and B, which are similar to sine waves, as shown in Figure 4-17. The A and B signals are 90° out of phase and are amplified and shaped into square waves. The signal passing through the two gratings is also a "pulse per revolution", called the Z-phase pulse, which is also obtained by the above processing. The Z-pulse is used to generate the fiducial point of the machine. The subsequent pulses are sent to a counter, and the angle and speed of the working shaft can be measured based on the number and frequency of the pulses. Its resolution depends on the number of turns of the rotary grating and the subdivision multiplier of the measurement line.
