The DCB filter drier consists of 80% molecular sieve and 20% activated bauxite, which is an optimal cartridge ratio for applications that operate at high condensing temperatures and require strong drying capacity. It is especially recommended for use with HCFC refrigerant and mineral oil, but also with HFC refrigerant and polyester oil.
DMB filter driers use a 100% molecular sieve cartridge for high drying capacity and minimize the risk of acids (hydrolysis). It is recommended for use with HFC and HCFC refrigerants and polyester oils.
