The MBT 5310 is a temperature sensor designed for measuring bearing temperatures and is certified for offshore applications. To achieve a very short reaction time, the measuring cell is placed on a silver dish in the tip of the sensor, which makes the reaction time as short as t0,5 = 0,5 seconds (in water). The sensor comes with an adjustable bayonet joint and a spring to ensure that the metal face of the bearing and sensor remains in contact. The temperature sensor uses a standard Pt100 element for reliable, high-precision measurements.
